Research Associate
Connie joined ICRI in April 2014 after completing her PhD at the University of Surrey in Guildford, UK. In her PhD, Connie explored physical and digital craft practices, and developed design and ideas and guidelines for how physical and digital craft materials, tools, and techniques can be integrated in new hybrid craft practices. Connie has a background in interaction and industrial design and before her PhD she studied at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands, where she received her BSc and MSc degrees at the Department of Industrial Design. Within ICRI Connie will be using her design research background to design, build, and evaluate physical prototypes in deployments within city contexts.
