Igor Talzi

Research Associate

Igor worked as a Research Associate at ICRI Cities at Imperial College London (ICL), UK from 01/05/13 to 25/09/13.  He worked across multiple initiatives within the institute. Prior to this, Igor held a position as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at CLARITY Centre for Sensor Web Technologies, University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland. During his time at CLARITY he managed two European FP7 ICT projects: HOBNET and FIEMSER. Both projects were concerned with monitoring and control algorithms for building management systems and energy efficiency. Igor received a PhD from the University of Basel, Switzerland. His PhD thesis focused on increasing usage capacity of mobile code in embedded networking system, particularly wireless sensor networks (WSN). During his PhD studies Igor was a leading investigator on the PermaSense environmental monitoring project that connected climate change and rock fall in permafrost areas with a help of the WSN technology. Prior to that, Igor gained several years of industrial experience in the area of embedded control systems.
