Research Associate
Dr. Ben Bengler is a research associate in physical computing and interaction design at University College London. He works at Intel ICRI-Cities and the UCL Interaction Centre (UCLIC) on public interactives and physical computing tools to engage people with environmental data and use of public space in collaboration with the London Legacy Development Corporation.
In general, his research interests are on design and evaluation of interactive experiences for various audiences in real-world settings, with a particular focus on design for co-participation, collaboration and public creativity.
As designer and artist, Bengler has developed a number of interactive sound and music works which have been widely exhibited internationally, and he has regularly collaborated with renowned partners such as the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), London, or Sónar+D, Barcelona.
